We haven't posted many show reports lately....mainly because we haven't been to many shows recently
Anyway, after 5 weeks of chilling....two completely in the field as we were away on holiday...Bo and Trike were scheduled to return to action at Edenbridge & Oxted Show today. Things didn't go quite to plan as Trike sustained a minor injury while we were away which became infected and so he spent the second week of his two week holiday on box rest and only got ridden for the first time on sunday. So, off we went with Bo to jump the 1m Open, there being nothing else he was eligible for today and also because he's had a few issues with the ground this year
The course was straight forward enough and he warmed up really well. We went in towards the end and he jumped a super double clear.....and we ended up 6th out of about 38 starters
It wasn't as flowing as it could have been hence the slow'ish time in the JO, but it was a definite step in the right direction and a good omen for the Am second rounds which start in 2 weeks time !
The journey home was a little more entertaining than it should have been however when yours truly managed to run out of diesel on a blind bend coming out of Forest Row....Ooops
