I'm looking to buy an ear bonnet for my youngster but struggling to find a big size; he is a 16.3hh Holsteiner x sports horse, in an extra full bridle with quite large ears!

Any ideas anyone?? Thanks

Watching this thread, also have a 16hh KWPN and she has very long ears that don't fit into the HKM bonnets, we are missing out on matchy!

Having a quick look on ebay and realised I've tried the hkm full size and it was too small; any brand come up larger? I've looked at cashel and think they will be a last resort choice as they only come in a plain design in black.

Our pony has a funny shaped head....pony sized in parts and cob sized in others! We use a company called Wooly Neds who custom make fly bonnets amongst others things. Brilliant to deal with, reasonable price and lovely product. I'd highly recommend them.

Best way to contact them is Facebook message, but they do have a website x

Schokemole ones come with large ears.

Or if you can crochet, or know someone that does, you can get a pattern

HV Polo ears are MASSIVE. I have all the usual suspects (Eskadron, Eurostar and Schockemohle etc and the HVP ones are about an inch longer if not more). If you look on matchy dressage they have some which have been "stuffed" so you can see them. They look like those hats worn by court jesters they just need bells on the end!

You can get ones with stretchy ears. I have some for my mare as her ears are on the larger side. It is plain black for eventing. I can't for the life of me remember the brand though. I will try and remember to have a look tomorrow.

Following this for my sister's ISH! We got him a Warmblood size (extra full) pair from HKM a few years ago but haven't seen that size since, and a full doesn't fit.
