Awful. Hate it. They still do it over here in certain areas of the country, and I hate to see Bostons with chopped ears. They look mean. Thankfully it's becoming less common, although it's still popular for Boxers and Dobies. I think the worst example has to be the Cane Corso--poor dog is left with no ears at all.

awful. dogs ear flaps are designed to keep dust and other nasties out of the ear, so removing it only opens them up to potential ear problems.

It's barbaric. I witnessed 2 kangal puppies in Turkey having their ears cropped. They do it with scissors and alcohol and stitch it themselves. It was heartbreaking to see and hear the pain being inflicted. The owners believe it makes the dogs run faster for hunting, unbelievable.

Revolting and pointless. Dogs ears form part of their expression and if they're clipped and always pointing up.....

hate it it makes the dog look more aggressive and its just not right if it was meant to have pointed ears it would be born like that, i dont have a problem with docked tails as some breeds really shouldnt have a long tail due to the damage they cause to it believe me its not pretty, but some breeds that are docked dont need to be my rottie has a full tail and is fine.

And they look much nicer with ears. My Dobie looks like Scooby doo with natural ears and tail!

I love to see a dobie or a rottie with a big wavy tail! They're such happy dogs and it's nice to see them showing it
