Took Molly Springer to the vet this morning who exclaimed, "Oh dear, you're very lop-sided!", and indeed she was with the egg-sized haematoma in her left ear! Poor Mols - she went into the surgery with great gusto and enthusiasm and very soon discovered that this was a place where you put your tail between your back kegs and drag owner towards the door! Anyway, vet tried to drain the haematoma but Molly wasn't exactly co-operative so it was decided that she needed the "full works" with stents in her ear etc. So Molly was led off for surgery with a look of "Help me!" in her eyes and, several hours later, when I collected her, had a look of "I hate you for doing this to me!" in her previously sad eyes! Vet had to carry her to the waiting room! She said that when she came round, she was fine and had eaten, but as soon as they put on the "cone of shame" she refused to walk and just laid there! Vet even carried her to my car!

Anyway, she's home now and feeling very sorry for herself. Vet warned that it could be messy if she shakes her head and blood splatters out of the stents. Sure she'll be fine in a day or so! On the plus side, they weighed her and she weighs 16kg. When she had pancreatitis last year, she weighed 20kg and I was determined to get her weight down and it appears I've succeeded!

Oh, and my OH is £311 poorer!!! (But Molly's worth it!)

PucciNPoni - hilarious! Took Molly up to bed and she couldn't get up the stairs because of her Cone of Shame! However, she immediately tried to go upstairs backwards, but that didn't work so she bounced up the stairs sideways! How do they work things out so quickly??
