Ear Warner's and riding hats?

How do others manage wearing both together? My ears get so cold without something covering them but when I put my hat on over the top, I end up with pains in my temples as it makes it tight!

I'm sure you can get earwarmers that just fit over the ears and round the back of the head. I suppose earmuffs that doesn't have the band over the head, it sits around the neck.

I wear a thin neck warmer, they are called morf on ebay which i pull up or down as necessary. On cold days it can go under my hat without effecting fit if necessary.

i dont think wearing anything under your hat is a good idea, you will flatten down the padding in the hat and alter the fit.

Get a Buff, they are made from lightweight material that will not alter the fit of your hat but will keep your ears warm. Snazzy colours too.

I wear a material alice band, they are just big enough to fit over your ears, but not bulky to stop your hat fitting tight.

These are really similar to the ones I have. Can't seem to get away with having them just cover my ears without the padded bit going under my hat! If I pull them further back, the elastic bit moves. Maybe I just have a funny shaped head!

Also just noticed auto correct has changed 'Warmers' to 'Warner's' in title! How annoying!

I have a hat that's /slightly/ too big (59cm when I normally wear a 58cm) that fits my ear warmers under perfectly when I take the extra padding out . It's my XC skull cap so only gets worn regularly in the winter and has padding in it so it fits in the summer .

I stylishly wrap my hair over my ears and my hat harness keeps it nicely in place and my ears warm. If I want to actually look half smart I wear a BUFF which I can pull over my ears, mouth and nose and it keeps me very toasty and won't alter the fit of any hat.

I wear a silk headscarf (like the Queen) under my hat - I suffer from bad earache and have be doing since I was a small child - works a treat.

Buffs are fab (there's also a lot cheaper ones called multifunctional headwear, you can get them for a couple of pounds on ebay) I wear mine all day (I'm wearing it now), they are great because you can pull them over your nose and mouth, and over your head, you can still breathe through them and they keep your ears warm, no seams and no bulk under your riding hat

I second ear bags. They sort of clip/pop securely onto your ears. Cosy!

^^^^^ This. I have two - when they are not over my head or face they are as good as a polo neck or scarf. Cheap and cheerful too
