Ear Wax ?

My horse always ear wax like black lumps that stick to his hair on the front of his ears . I know some people pull it off but should you or should you just leave it ??

When I first bought my horse he was headshy. I eventially got inside his ears and they were bunged up with wax. I used baby wipes to clean them. He loved it as his ears were very itchy!
