Hello,

having splashed out on a few new brushes, lunge lines and things I now 'need' a nice box to get them from back of car to yard and back again.

Has anyone got a "Easi Step 'n' Carry Tack Box"? What do you think of it?

The tray looks good but I'm not sure about the non-hinged lid (catch at each side so it comes off totally)...

As you can tell, on a budget with this but can spend a leettle more if it makes a difference...

Very tidy biscuit boxes for replies!

Posted in Stable Yard too as I'm a regular here but thought it belonged there too!

I have one of these and think it's great for the money. It holds quite a bit of stuff and believe me i have a range of random things in the bottom!
I've stood on it quite a bit to groom etc, mounted from it, used it as a seat and had no probs, it seems really sturdy as i'm not the lightest!
The no hinge opening has been no problem for me, no different to any other box i've had and good value for money.

I have one and I love it. It's very sturdy and holds heaps but I usually take out the tray TBH. It's especially good for standing on to plait/mount at shows. :)

I have one and its great. Especially the step part as i am short and if my boy puts his head up it allows me to win the grooming of the face arguements!

I have one, use it alot to stand on when pulling manes etc. I've got loads rammed into it, and keep it in one of my girls stables (annoyingly though one of the handles fell off, might have something to do with the amount Ive got in there...and the weight lol.) she's given it a good bashing but alas it's still in one piece. Unlike the other box I got for the coblet one, which got stampled to death...she then thought i'd like it filling with poo. Kind....

I got one from robinsons and im surprised how sturdy it is, i use it for shows for my mum as she has to come in the help me take off the horses saddle off and sprue her up so i can run her up for the judge, keeps all brushes and sprays inside and its plenty tall enough to mount from (Thats the main reason i got it.) would recommend :)

I have one, I usually kill grooming boxes in under. Year and I've now had this one for a few years and it still cleans up like nearly new, holds loads and works well as a step (and a seat!)

Buy one!

We used to have one like that but it went back with the loan pony and all her tack. We found the shelf a hassle and didn't feel the step was all that good, as you had to re-pack the box and shut the lid to use it.
We now have one of these

and although it doesn't hold quite as much 'stuff' it's adequate for half a dozen brushes, lunge line and a load of the other 'stuff' you accumulate, but we REALLY like the fact you just pick up the step and use it wherever without faffing with bunging all the brushes back in to get the lid shut, and can use the step independently - sometimes I'm grooming pony no 2 while daughter rides no1, so we leave the step out like a mounting block. It easily takes 13 stone too.

Price is good too.

I love my Easi Step 'n Carry! I've had it since 2006/ 2007 and so far is still going strong.

I'm 13 1/2 stone and it has no trouble with me standing on it to plait up and I use it as an extra boost on top of a stool I use to get on Hattie when I'm riding side saddle.

It's sturdy and big!
