Has anyone used this? I did want to start using Megazorb but cannot find a supplier that is less than an hour away from me

This stuff looks interesting - has anyone any experience of it?

Thanks!

I used it for around 6 weeks - at that point I got totally narked off and went back to shavings - now use Bedmax and it's brilliant.

Even with a really thick bed I found easibed moved around alot and doesn't absorb hardly any mositure at all resulting in a very wet floor

However, I do know people who like it - just wasn't for me

I used it on top of rubber matting for a while and really liked it. Used it on a semi deep litter system and it worked really well for me. YM tried it for one of hers and didnt like it. Each to their own I guess but I would use it again.

I used it for about 3 months and it cost me a fortune! I found the bags didn't go a long way and the wet soon came to the top of a deep bed. I think it also depends on the horse my 16.3hh ISH is wuite messy I now have her on matting with shavings banks and a 'pee patch' and wouldn't look back.

i found it easy to muck out but expensive as the bales didn't go far, i am trying nedz pro bedding this winter, chopped oil seed rape straw.

I am using the nedz pro at the moment. My little gelding is fine on it and really really easy to muck out and doesn't smell at all. He was a bit wiffy on shavings cos he is old. But he doesn't wander round his stable much. Now my filly makes a right mess of it. But she has only been on it a week so may need to establish the bed first. But she walks around a lot and tends to disturb the wet and mix it in with the dry!!! Thanks Calli!!!! Put some more down tonight to make a deeper bed and see if that is my problem or she is just a very messy horse. You should see her on straw!!! Will see how the nedzbed goes for a couple of months at least. But it is much less smelly even than shavings.

Its a shame u cant get hold of megazorb-its fab, but our little pony is on hemcore and that is brilliant-doesnt move at all-its super efficient and easy to muck out-not dusty either.

(and we kind of ignored the sprinking water on it instruction and we have had no problems with it)

Used it for about a year, but found it was really heavy when wet. Now use Bedmax over rubber matting, which I love. Did find easibed worked better if mixed 50/50 with shaving and liked the way id didn't get stuck in horses feet. It also kept my mare off the concrete as heavier, it didn't get scuffed around as much.

I have but didn't like as much as softchip (made by snowflake). The good thing about them booth is that it the poo doesn't stick to it the same as normal shavings so there's a lot less waste going in the wheelbarrow!

They look the same, but for some reason the softchip didn't get as wet or dirty - Ludo is championship standard at pooing and peeing! My feedmerchant often gives me easibed if they don't have softchip, I can't really say why, but I just don't think its as good. Having said that I've gone back to normal snowflake shavings recently as they couldn't get me the softchip!

Thanks everyone. I think it might be back to the drawing board on this one, but if I can't find an alternative in my area I might have to give it a try.
Look out for more bedding posts from me!

Thanks again!
