I'm thinking of taking Zoom to the HT at East Bysshee on 23rd May. We have gone clear over the 2'3 course at Pachesham twice now so i don't know whether i should try a class up?? They have a 2'6-2'9 class too.

Does anyone have any pics of the course at East Bysshee or has ridden there before. Just want to know how difficult it is.

Thanks :D

My daughter has done the 2'6" - 2'9" course there - this is the only photo I have on photobucket at the moment:

That is the biggest jump on the course but very inviting and on the homewards stretch. There is no water, but there is a coffin. Bank and trakehner are not in the 2'6 - 2'9". Rest of jumps are nice - barrels, gate, tyres, logs etc. Jump that causes the most problems is actually one of the smallest, but where the course loops back past the start and the horses have thought they have finished!

Will have a look and see what other photos I have.

Brilliant thanks :D! Zoom and I regularly tackle jumps bigger than that......but not a whole course!

Maybe i will do the mini and then do the bigger class afterwards? Hmmmm.......Zoom is easily capable, I just need to not lose my nerve! :)

It's a nice course if you're looking to step up a height. It's flat and not too long and fairly straightforward. Like TGM says, that is the biggest fence on the course and jumps nicely.

Or if you are thinking of doing the 2'3" and seeing how you go, again, it's not so taxing a course/terrain that you can't do both.

I've been round there a few times (including schooling), and never had a problem. There is also a clinic the weekend before if you want to have a practice (see the Horley & District riding club website).

Go for it and have fun!!

I did the 2ft3 course there last year (came 4th, woo, hoo), and it was lovely and quite straight forward. Can’t tell you about the bigger class though. Might see you there! :D
