Maybe you have looked at this hoping to see pics from Easton College but I don't know who was taking the pics so no links sorry. If anyone does know, that would be really nice to hear
But I have a link to Forest Edge 1.15 class where we were double clear but not placed

But before then we went to the new Houghton Hall EC to do a little 1.00 class as they only had amateur classes on and I was too cold to wait for the 1.10 class. video below.

Houghton is quite tight for a big horse like Donna. I'm just keeping it very calm and slow a little too slow I know. But this was the first show after a couple of issues so happy with 3rd
Will definitely be back to Houghton to do bigger classes in January.
So back to Easton College last weekend - got there at 1.00pm for class 5 the 1.10 open then do 1.20 Foxhunter. Just got there in time as it was pretty dead. Everyone must have had better things to do, can't think what
. It was a lovely sunny day so I was happy to be at a show. But with only 15 in the class I went last but when I was on board I only had 3 till me
. Donna warmed up so well and calm and went in a produced the best round I have ever jumped. No video as proof as husband was laid up at home ill and Mum really shouldn't be given the responsibility of videoing
. Funny you can really enjoy a round but shame it wasn't clear. I should have gone wider on a curve to the last double and she got in too close and had it down in front. Totally my fault
. I think I was just enjoying it all so much
So popped her back on the trailer waiting for the 1.20. They built the course and then I walked it. I have to say it wasn't a tough course but the mare is really spooky and the biggest oxers were off corners with scary things piled up in them! I just had a horrible feeling I was going to get wrong at them and scare her. Once that thought got in my brain I decided not to enter. Silly really as if anyone knows me I never normally give things a second thought. A little too gung ho most of time. So once I had stopped beating myself up for my nerves or whatever it was, I looked at the day and realised how pleased I was with both of us.
So off to trainer to practice over bigger jumps and then all set for Forest Edge second weekend in Jan.
Well done for reading and Merry Christmas
