Interested to know how people have got on with the new trail boots please. I have limited choices as have a cob with mahoosive hooves. The gloves don't accomodate us, as they're better suited to longer feet and hooves are very round. Cavallo's biggest size (6) is a tiny bit too small. We have equine fusions, but they seem a little clumsy and can turn on his one foot that is pigeon toed etc.

It seems the trails and new macs are the only option. How have people found them on very round feet? Think it's likely we'll be falling into the extra large (11), more expensive price category :(

you also have the option of easyboot epics. With the "up buckle" they adjust well to fit more difficult feet.

I like Epics, they are the only boots I can get to stay on my horse. He has large tricky to fit feet a similar size to your horses OP - Cavallos size 6 fitted but were clumpy and came off if he spooked sharply or in soft ground. I got the Epics second hand to try, I'm really pleased with them.

Wouldn't rate the trails.. you see the four tiny rivets on the front? That's how they are held on! They didn't stand up to use and ended with the top part coming off the bottom part due to the rivets.

Cavallo boots are the same style but much better made.. that's what I have now, the original are rounder than the sport shape. They do lots of sizes and were even thinking of going to draft sizes I think?

Thanks all, I'll look at the Epics again. I originally dismissed theses along with the gloves, as his feet are very round - as wide as they are long!

Merlod, I recently tried the biggest Cavallo Trek (size 6)... Lovely boot, but just a little two small for him. Intersting what you say about the Trails - I'm thinking the new macs would be the same :(
