Took 2 of us 30 mins to change the darn thing on a wintec last night - cue some very blue air & a very bemused horse!

Also, I have a wintec where I cannot change the thing because the screws just turn around and around!

Great idea but

at the physicalities of doing it.
Anyone else?

LOL bet you were trying to get a narrow gullet in!!!

When the screw just goes round, have you got a allen key in the back? or is it the screw that holds the gullet in, in which case you need some lochtight (think that's what its called but would have to double check the gullet changing instruction), or have you sheared of the thread?

o gr8!!!! just about to change gullet in dressage version for baby horse!!! have been putting it off (had heard they are a nightmare), but am gonna have to do it!!! gonna enlist some helpers i think!!!

Nah it's easy! Definitely more difficult trying to get narrower or wider gullets in though as Wintecs are really built for mediums so it all gets a bit difficult to line the thing up properly!

Have changed the gulliets in our Bates a number of times, it's easy.

If your having problems get some one with a mechanical ability to do it. IE if you can change a wheel over on a car with a spare, you will be able to change a gullet over.

good luck

Takes me hours to do mine - cue me on the floor with saddle in bits trying to hold bits open with feet etc etc...and that is trying to change from med to m/w. I think I am just an idiot though.... (lukily, I have only ever had to change it a handful of times!)
