Easy to put on bridle..any such thing?

Probably not what you're looking for, but I was thinking that perhaps a bridle with less pieces of bridle around the horses head could be of interest, and Vision Design in Sweden makes this bridle called VD Ergonomic

They also have a version with bling VD Ergonomic Bling

Come to think about it, I'm not sure if they only sell to customers in Sweden, or if they ship abroad. But in case anyone would happen to be interested, maybe give them a call.

It looks like e.g. the Lingus Fairfield bridle sold by Hööks would be similar if you removed the browband.

You might have to order from america, but some mule bridles have a clip on the top of the headpiece so that you don’t have to wrestle large mule ears through the bridle

I have one of these that I got when starting my young horse https://www.horsemanshipsaddlery.uk/quick-click-browbands.html. She was also bitless so the bridle could just go on like a headcollar - either undo one cheek or lift the whole thing over the ears - and then the browband went on afterwards. I don't have to undo anything now.

I’d go for a bitless bridle. The Dr Cook ones go on like a head collar, then do up under the chin.

Don’t tempt me with these things! I’m not allowed to buy more headgear for my horses (for a while)!

I had a mare that was really head shy and I struggled to get a bridle on it was the putting the ears through she hated most, I had a physio out to her and mentioned it to her, and after much persuasion she managed to feel around her poll area and found she had lumpy scar tissue at the top of her poll.

I just did lots of gentle de sensitisation with her just touching there to start with then using a bit more pressure, I would use treats and just do a bit everyday and she became so much better, it didn't take long until I could put the bridle on easily.

So really worth checking the whole head and poll just incase it's something else.

Hi there, we were told our new cod was ear shy…putting on headcollar and bridle have apparently always been a bit of a fight. After a week of me taking the head collar slowly and undoing buckle and attaching again once her nose was in it’s now not a problem…the bridle on the other hand still is a massive issue for us.
The bit she came with was horrendous, nobody has seen one like it and I haven’t been able to find it. It clearly caused her pain and she was very uncomfortable. I’m assuming fighting the bridle was due to this rather than her ears as I can touch, move and clean her ears no problem. As soon as she sees the bridle she becomes anxious even with the new bit. it looks like undoing it to try to put it on isn’t going to be a possibility so what im asking is there a bridle that would allow us to fit easier over her ears or something we could fit like a headcollar and buckle up after bit and nose band are in/on?
We are new to this as you can probably tell

When my late mare was young she got clunked in the teeth by someone removing the bridle, after that I had to dissect the bridle every time, till she got confident with me doing it.

Could you try underdoing one side of the bridle and put it on like a head collar over the neck and slide up??
