So my horse has been barefoot for 5 months now his feet are hardening up nicely and is coping pretty well! Only time them seem to bother him is when we hack on a particular shingly road/bridleway so have decided to buy him some boots! Am new to barefoot and new to boots having shopped around as he has pretty big feet have narrowed it down to the two boots above!

Looking for any advice/ opinions recommendations! Would be used approx. twice a week for 8-10 miles hack. The G2 are obvs more expensive but are they worth the extra?

Or can anyone make any other suggestions baring in mind his feet are measured at 16.5cmx17cm

Thanks! : )

Suggest you ring the lady at equine podiatry supplies - she was exceedingly helpful to me recently, went above and beyond. She said my mare is best suited to old macs and they haven't budged, are much better made than the cavellos i trialled as well :)

Love my G2's have had them over 6 years, only use them when the ground is really hard for hacking, as my girl has thin soles so can get a bit footy and they're still like new, there is no wear to the sole. Have worn them through all weathers and they have never rubbed, and they do have the added bonus of stud holes if you ever need them (I've never used them.) One thing to look at is the shape of your horses feet as different boots suit different shapes. My girl is a small welsh just to give an example.
