I have gloves for both horses fronts and have always found them easy to get on but am battling away struggling to get them off. I have to push down so hard on the back of my mares heel I feel her knee click which worries me greatly.... Please can anyone help shed some light on a less stressful way to get gloves off?

Many thanks

I too find them hard to get off. Best thing I've found so far is to ease a strong hoof pick between the back of the boot and the hoof and just lever it off. Its still very tricky though, would love to hear if anyone has any other ideas.
Also struggle to get mine on, can't do it without a mallet, but tried the bigger size and they didn't stay on.
Do love the gloves though, they are the only boots which stay on my horse over all terrain and in all paces.

I hold the leg between my knees, farrier style;)place my thumbs either side of the heel of the boot and then wiggle it,swear, sweat, feel like I am going to pull the leg off at which point the horse yanks his leg away and the boot pops off.
Simples!:D

To get on I wear those latex rubbery tight fitting grippy gloves you get for wearing doing horsey jobs - got mine from farm shop they are a couple of pounds and have blue rubbery palms and then woven material on the back and twist them on as much as pos and then lead my horse forwards a few steps and she pushes her feet in fully herself they are such a good fit which is why I have such confidence in them even for fast work just a B**ger to get off and now I need new gaiters as despite trying not to pull on the gaiter I think I must have as the plastic around the central screw hole has split :(

Did try hoof pick last time but will try again - my gelding will stand all day with a foot in the air but my mare doesn't have the patience with me faffing around ;)

I undo the gaiter, roll it over the back of the boots, pull outwards on one side of the boot (close to where the gaiter attaches) same on the other side and they are off. 10 seconds max a boot. On the LF I am holding the leg up with my left hand and pulling the boot off with my right.

I find you need to pull them off slightly from the side and not directly from the back to get them off.

This. Although ours got quite helpful with them both putting them on and getting them off - Spud in particular will stomp his foot down in just the right way to get the boot on, and then pull his leg away at the right time to get it off. With a bit of pony-help it's much easier.
