Has anyone got one of these?

How do you find it?

My girl needs a new saddle as hers is too narrow and she needs something which will lessen the tension she has in her shoulders.

As she is 20 I want something lightweight and she also has high withers, so wondered if it would be suitable??

Any information appreciated!!

Thanks x

I don't have an easytrek, but I do have a barefoot cheyenne and I love it. Used it on my TB for two years and now use it on my new neddy. TB preferred it as he had girthing issues and he went very well in it. They take a bit of getting used to but are very comfy and I feel very secure in it, even huge elaborate spooks are easy to sit!

Hi Lochpearl!

I hope your horses are sorted??

Gem had the physio out on Monday, who was absolutly fantastic. Her shoulder was so tight it was making her higher one side than the other.... no wonder she was lame. She said her saddle is too narrow, but she has very high withers so need to make sure the saddle clears this!

She can then be bought back into work slowly and im really hoping she will return sound, but if not it will be nerveblocks and things i didnt want to have to do, but at least we can get to the bottom of it!!

You dont have any 17.5 med saddles for sale do you??!! xx

Hi Hippyned!

thanks for your post.. i have had no experience of them at all so that was helpful! Was yours quite light? Also i will need to be able to jump in it... when you say it takes a bit of getting used too....does it alter your position alot?

noth my boys are falling apart!! once I've got my head round it all i'll message you! Got an osteo out today for Max so hopefully he will cure the lameness!! but got to find a new yard pronto!! You are more than welcome to try my Albion K2 it's medium, black and 17.5inch. I was supposed to chop it in for my new one but it fits Max at the moment, but am hoping that I will get him into the new one asap but it is a bit wider. Let me know and you can have a try!! xx

yes it is very light and fitted my high withered TB very well. I didn't do much jumping in it and i think they say that you can't jump high in it, but I have read that other people have with no problems - there are no knee blocks and the saddle puts you in more of a bareback riding position with your legs a bit further back - I found trotting a bit challenging to begin with, but soon got used to it (I wasn't particularly fit at the time either!)- the best place to get info about them is here www.horseandharmony.co.uk

Hi,
I have just posted about easytrek saddles - I have one and thought I should have a say - I love mine!!
You can get them from Learning to Listen training centre in North Yorkshire, they will fit it for you. I really like mine- hope this helps!
