The last few mornings Tala has taken to eating grass on her walk and vomiting bile up after it. She is happy and bouncy before and after, is wolfing her food down and generally shows no signs of any illness or stomach pain. A previous dog used to vomit up bile and that's why we now feed later in the evening so they don't have empty stomachs for long. Currently she has her last feed at 8.30pm before her last walk, yesterday she was sick at 5.30am, I didn't really think this is a particularly long time in between feeds but we could move her last feed to 10pm after her walk?? Or should I look at a daily prebiotic for her?

OK thanks, it's just odd that she hadn't done it before, wasn't overly worried as she is absolutely fine in every other way but her poo is ( has been since we got her) a bit looser than I would like so thought she might just be one like a previous one who has a bit of a delicate tummy bless her.

I think I'll split her last feed into before and after last walk then leave a handful of kibble in her bowl when we go to bed, she rarely eats the kibble but at least it's there if she gets hungry.

Mine get some kibble before bed. Their main meal is at 4pm. They also have kibble snack for breakfast!

I hadn't really considered kibble as that's what she was fed at dogs trust and she refused to eat it so often that she was regularly vomiting bile there, she had lots of vet checks and scans to check there was nothing wrong and it was decided that it was just due to her stomach being empty coz she wouldn't eat 😔

I use a gastro friendly one that is more than plain. They have Butternut Box for main meal, which they wolf down. Then, the plain kibble is more often but mst be like eating water biscuits. It is just as a top up.
