I've just discovered Ebay (yes I know I'm like a decade behind!)

Yesterday I won a pair of Treadstone tendon boots (the ones with the removable fleece/neoprene) for £13.50

and to top that, I've just won a pair of Konig's for £34!
Fingers crossed they fit, bargain of a lifetime!

(Sorry pointless post, just a bit excited...) :D

Blimey sounds like you've been lucky, haven't found a good genine bargain on ebay for ages!! Well done.

Lol. i only got my account last year and i adore Ebay.

Theres so much stuff on there. have a look in the wholesale section too!

(and dont give your OH your password otherwise all manner of crap will start decending through the letterbox)

Excellent - well done you .... love ebay too.

Also, ebay is the best place for getting rid of unwanted bits and pieces - always find horse stuff goes really well on there and jodphurs/breeches still in good condition which have become <cough> too small:o

It can be so variable, I bought two Sabre bridles recently, both at the same price (<£30) from different sellers. One was described as used a few times but good condition, the other described as excellent condition, fully marked, all bought together, used only for showing, clean and ready to go.

The first one was marked throughout, same colour throughout, looked nearly brand new and was clean and I was delighted. The second one was a "bitsa" in havana and black (supposed to be all black) marked on only one piece, complete with pony size browband on a full size bridle, looked like it hadn't been cleaned for years and had definitely been in use for years, I was so stunned that I haven't yet worked out what to say to the seller.

A further mixed lot I bought was described as "new" and yes, it was new in that it hadn't seen a washing machine and obviously hadn't been used much. Numnah with encrusted grime, showshirt with makeup round the neck and dried deodorant and sweat in the armpits, jacket with horse slobber all down the back, and various other expensive, not heavily used but FILTHY items. Bought at a bargain price but opening the package and seeing the grime turned my stomach.

I have also bought bedlinen from eBay that has turned up freshly washed and ironed and smelling so delicious that I've had to email the seller and ask what she used to get it smelling that good - wonderful.

I have also bought a couple of saddles described as brand new or only tried on the horse which have been perfectly as described and bargain at around a third of the price my saddler wanted.

Possibly my best bargain was my 7.5 tonne lorry that I paid a grand for, ran three or four times a week for three and half years and then sold for £860.

My latest bargain is a BNWT hacking jacket with a £189 price tag on it - I paid <£30 including delivery. Mind you when my husband saw the price tag he nearly had a fit!
