Just thinking, what are your best and worst ebay buys?? I was browsing and there always seems to be some great stuff, and some complete and utter tat!!
My best ever was an item listed as 'Ariat Short Boots', when I investigated close, it was a pair of boots, used about 5 times, my size, and also a pair of gaiters, same use, for 'wider calves', that she said she didn't know the brand of. It was local, so I went and tried them, and gave her the £50 buy it now she wanted - they were only Sergio gaiters!! So I got a pair of Ariat boots and Sergio gaiters, virtually brand new, for £50. Bargain.

Worst - brushing boots, bought a few pairs trying to get some to fit my arab but they never do, whatever vendor tells me at the time

Always either too wide if right length, or too short if right width. Woof club boots from local saddler a better bet - at least they are cheap to replace!!
How about you guys!

blimey!!! well done you!!

i trade on ebay every week

my best ever was spotting a playstation 2 Ltd edition for £50 and selling it a week later for £130.

was well chuffed with myself!!

ive had so many to be honest i loose track!!

12 bn show shirts for 50 including p&p
5 bridles for 30 including p n p !!
those were some recent ones.

ive had some awful ebay experiences too though!!

bought an unbranded saddle on there, looked lovely in thepics when i recieved it i felt like throwing it in the bin it was awful!

I am an ebay queen but sadly spent more than I sell. Having said that most of the stuff I have got has been really good.

Best item - virtually unused thermatex rug for 60 quid

Worst item- toss up between fetlock boots with flimsy synthetic straps that I gave up trying to thread through the rubber ring! and blue checked jodhs which were too big for me and looked like something a german would wear (no offence, germans like checked stuff though, don't they?)

my hunting jacket for 99p!!!!!!!!!!! Hack tac showing breeches £25, my jod boots £8!!!! I LOVE EBAY!!

Bought a double bridle, that turned out to be too small for £29 including bits, resold it with a better photo etc for £65!!!!!!!!!!! (hubby stills owes me that money)!

A scientific calculator that was described as new - had someones name on the back and was the wrong one - resold at a loss!!!!!!!

I piad €115 for my jumping saddle, it fits Castle well, and I love it! Is brilliant to help with my position and I can hunt in it all day

I haven't had a worst buy *yet*, touch wood!

A really nice Schumacer (sp?) show shirt brand new for a fiver!

A few bargain WB turnout rugs, cheaper than from any stores online.

A brand new GFS bridle for £10.

Bartyl wool saddlecloth was my best buy, wasnt THAT cheap but its been SO useful!

I dont think Ebay is as good a bargain as it used to be. You do have to look quite hard to find them! The only real bad buys Ive had are things simply not fitting, but I usually put them straight back on ebay with a start price of what I paid so Im never at a loss!

My most recent bargain is probably a set of four Woof Wear brushing boots for £18

Was well chuffed. Also got a set of four Equilibrium Stretch and Flex boots for £20 odd which were a bargain

I dont think I've had a bad buy but have been glad that I have been outbid for one or two things. My Mum collects bits and bobs and has a special 'ebay mistakes' shelf made

John Whitaker grackle bridle for £40 and the worst a pair of long boots that didnt fit and I got a back zip put in them and they still dont fit, cant be bothered to re-list them as my daughter broke the zip pull. Am selling my 2nd Albion saddle at the moment I have only sold one thing and bought 124 items - not all horse related but car stuff for my son who races. I love ebay though

Best buys, brand new lightweight turnout for £5.00, bungie rein £2.99 oooh just too many to mention! I do sell now and agin, when I can be bothered to list stuff, but think the charges are quite high, 'feebay'!

I bought a harbridge training aid cob size but it was too small so rang them up and asked if I could change it for full size. Sent the cob size back but she never got it so I have lost my money.

Best - A beautiful horsebox for £1750, its now insured for 6k.

worst, a pair of shoes advertised as size 6, the pair that arrived were size 4 and the ebayer i bought them from dissapeared
