Ebay ,courier advice

I am selling a paper shredder on ebay. It is quite large and very heavy. Someone wants to view it tomorrow as they are at Crufts and we are just down the road but he can't fit it in with his 3 dogs to take it home. He has asked if I will send by courier at his expense. I have told him to come and view and if he wins it he could arrange courier as he could measure it when he views.
Is the best thing to say or should I arrange it.

Get them to arrange it - then they can pay directly and deal with any hassle if the courier damages it/ looses it etc.

Yep, get him to pay first then they will arrange a courier to come and collect it. Ask him to specify whether its being picked up AM or PM, or your have a day in waiting for it.

Have them pay cash when they view or by bank transfer as Paypal give no seller protection if the seller doesn't arrange the courier.

There are loads of couriers on Ebay. Alternatively, tell the buyer to do his own listing using Shiply.com. I use it a few times. I see an item on Ebay and I list it on Shiply.com for delivery quotes. If I do win the Ebay auction, I pick the courier I want (usually the cheapest one). The buyer will have to pay a percentage of the shipping fees to Shiply upfront and the courier gets the rest. The courier then gets the outstanding sum when the item is delivered. It's actually a lot easier than it sounds.

thats ok. all u do is to list the item on ebay. let the buyer deal with the courier in shiply himself.

Yes as others have said, let the buyer sort it. I've got a job lot of 55 new whips including driving whips on ebay, they are too long for my courier to take so winning buyer either comes and gets them or organises their own courier.
No courier, no whips!

As a buyer I would want to source my own courier. That way I have control and can deal with/pay them directly.
