Hi
Early last week I sold a couple of items on ebay for very minimal amounts :( both are collection only. Both bidders paid up really quickly but I am having a real job getting them to collect them, one was supposed to be coming to collect this evening but never turned up and hasn't phoned or left a message :( the other I have told him he can collect it evenings or weekend, but he keeps saying can I come this morning or tomorrow afternoon - aarggh!

For such piffling amounts of money (less than £5 in both cases) it is a complete pain in the backside. What can I do? Can I give them so a set time to collect them by and if they don't collect relist them, or do I have to just wait till they turn up?

Thanks :)

Post on the ebay forum. I did recently and got a lot of help. I have to say I do like ebay, but haveing had two items go astray in the last week or so, sent via recorded delivery, and having to put up the aggro from the buyers in question, I do wonder if its worth it sometimes. Good luck, but I think you may need to keep on chasing them. If I was you I would make sure you back it up in writing as well, just in case they get arsey and try to give negative feedback on you, which is unjustified.

Are they items you could actually post? If so why not suggest this to the buyers and get them to pay upfront for the postage and send the items. If not, set a deadline and if they fail to collect by then report them to ebay, or get them to agree to cancel the auction and you'll be able to get your fees back.

I use Ebay a lot.

In this case, I wouls send an email to both parties telling them that you are expecting them to call and pick up the items between such and such a time and which days you are available.... Then when they don't show to pick your item up, you have something on record to state that you tried your best to contact them.

After sending this email, I would just sit back and leave it in their hands
