I bought a bridle on ebay recently, advertised as 'dark brown jeffries bridle' it said in the description to note that the cheek peices werent actually jeffries. When it arrived, the cheek pieces were actually one black and one a lighter havana, neither the same colour as the bridle:o I was expecting them to match and to have a complete bridle. WWYD ?
 
you can try messaging the buyer and see if they will take it back with good will but I think unfortunately with them stating that cheek pieces were not that of the bridle it is a case of buyer beware. I too would expect it to be the same but have learnt with ebay to check and double check everything. I would put it down to experience and source some matching jefferies cheek pieces.

ok thanks - would you not think the description of 'dark brown bridle' should cover all parts though :confused:
 
I can't abide mismatched tack, it messes with my mojo.

Send it back. The least you would expect is a pair of cheekpieces the same colour!
 
Was there a picture?

Did the description state colour?

If the colour difference is not shown or stated I'd ask for a refund inc postage as the item is not as described.
 
Just open a SNAD case on Ebay. You will have to send it back fully tracked at your expense - Ebay will tell you to do this. Input the tracking number into the case and Ebay will give you a full refund of what you paid originally.

In essence is it cheaper to buy new cheekpieces or return tracked?

This. Although if there were pictures showing this then you might not get a refund as they did mention it in the description.
 
If you return on item it will not be at your expense!

You will get a refund from the seller for extra postage too.

You should not loose out because item is sold not as described.

Start a dispute.
