ebay lorry update

well i went to report my buyers as non buyers today ( and can't until tomorrow as today is the 7th day) thought id email them again while i was at it and politely told them that i was filling out a non payment form and relisting. got a reply a little while ago asking me to phone them about the horsebox

So do i report them anyway and relist
or
let curiousity get the better of me and phone to see what excuses they have dreamt up ?

besides why should i call them when they have my phone number. I think ive wasted enough of my time already

The only thing about not phoning them back is that you will probably have to tell ebay what attempts were made to sort this out and if the bidder says 'well I did email to say call me... and she didn't'... it could go against you (wrong, I know). Well as it seems pretty clear as you have said, that phoning won't achieve anything, I'd make the call and then carry on with the complaint anyway! Sorry to hear you've been let down like this, hope you find a good buyer soon.

What a pain - mine finished on ebay yesterday and my buyers say they are coming on Friday with cash to collect. I'm hoping they do - I paid for the replacement yesterday

However I am insisting on a non refundable deposit within 48 hours to hold it for them

As for your buyers - yes, phone them, what have you got to lose. At least you can tell them you are relisting it

angel, that thought did cross my mind! plus im to nosey not to phone them anyway.

mother hen , i dont use paypal so couldnt insist on a deposit. anyway i phoned them just now and the lady said they were coming to pick it up sunday but her mother was taken ill on saturday so obviously that would take priority. anyway she is calling me back later once she knows what happening with the hospital etc to arrange to collect it. This could have all been avoided if she had just text me and told me! anyway we shall see what happens.

They can still send you ££ by Paypal as long as you have an email address I think? its them that need a paypal a/c. Or they could send you a bill payment, they might have other priorities but it would take them 5 mins by telephone banking and I think you should get them to send a deposit, you are losing potential other buyers whilst they faff.

Another Ford Cargo, the same sort of vintage as the one I have sold - but with less living and more horse space - which is more of a priority for me.

There is no excuse for neither emailing or phoning you to let you know the situation. lets hope they turn up and pay up.

Be very wary of horseboxes & trailers on EBAY !!! My advert from H&H online was stolen, text & photos and listed fraudulently on ebay for £4200 when the real price was £13995. They are hoping someone is silly enough to not be able to pass up the bargin and pay for it and then no lorry. No viewings/inspections available!! The police are involved, so be very careful !!
