I recently brought a rug off ebay (14th May) but have not yet recieved it. I got an email confirming payment via paypal had been recieved but I have not got the rug! I emailed the company yesterday and today but no response. How long should a rug take to arrive? I have ordered other stuff from internet and it came a lot quicker than this!

Put a dispute in with ebay to say item not received. You will find how to do this on your account page on left hand side at the bottom. Also, check that you paid by direct bank transfer as e-cheques on paypal take longer to clear. I wouldn't worry just yet, perhaps put in a dispute if you haven't received it by Friday?
 
sorry you wont be able to dispute it until after 14 days. The seller should have an indication on their store or on the item listed as to how long it will take to send out, for example I put 1 working day so if the item is not with me I can pack up that night to send off. Also depending on the postage - if the seller says courier 48 then it should once sent off take 48 hours, if it says sellers standard rate unfortunately that could be pigeon post. See if you can get the number of them to call them, if not keep trying with emails. After 14 you can report it items not received. Good luck!
 
I wouldn't be too worried yet. You won the auction on 14th & there has only been 4 working days since then. You may find that they only despatch on one day a week so I would give it a few more days yet. Some sellers are slow at sending out goods. Just because payment by paypal has been made does not mean they will post immediately, sometimes it takes a while for the Paypal payment to arrive in their account.
 
Far too early to lodge a dispute, why not send seller a nice email asking for expected delivery date?
 
Its not 14 days but 7 days, after which you can put in a 'item not rec'd' despute with paypal and thats it, you can either correspond with the seller via paypal, then if seller doesnt respond after a few days go for a claim, i give sellers 10 days if they do not respond to my emails.
If you dont put in the claim after a few days ,you are granted a refund anyway if the seller continues not responding to the case for i think 21 days.
