I bought some rimfrost mountain horse boots of them - all ok until after about 2 weeks they had fallen to bits - they were clearly factory seconds - they also have a reallt funny smell to them - like chemicals - paid 50 for them and postage and payment was ok but crap boots !! Although for the first week they were the best boots ive ever had and I would defo try a proper pair from a proper retailer !! but I mailed a saddlery for you to see if they were factory flawed previous to bidding and they said no! Not happy bunny!!
Haven't brought from this Ebay shop but from another (won't name as guy was v nice and gave full money back) but ordered a Rambo Duo Liner and it was just all wrong, badly finished, too thick (but not the wrong weight - apparently!), bad cut. I know what you mean I am convinced it was either a copy or factory second. Got my money back though and got from another well known mail order catalogue.
had big issues with saddlery 4u. never got my item of tack and when emailed them got sarcastic reply, refused to refund. would never ever use them terrible need reporting def
Can you not go through ebay? I thought they were very hot on good service & upfront honesty. Or is it different if you deal with an ebay shop?

I've paid and even though I have the receipt from their website they are claiming that I haven't paid and have opened a non payer dispute as I opened one for them for not sending the item.
Ebay are rubbish with anything like this, they won't do anything to help when people won't pay or when they don't send the goods.
You can have a non paying bidder strike put against someone if they don't pay (although ebay will remove the 1st one if they ask!!!) but what about a non delivering seller strike? Surely that's worse? If you don't pay the seller is only out of pocket by Ebay's fees but if they don't send the item you are out of pocket by the whole cost!
i used them , wasn't happy , only went as far as neutral feedback , they left abusive remarks on my feedback & banned me from bidding on their items
they do not seem to like or deal with issues & just blame the buyer!
Horsegirl, they did the same to me (expect they refunded me, then posted a non-payment strike!!!), dispute the non-payment strike with ebay, or ebay will remove any feedback you leave. Will happily sent you all the emails I have from them and ebay regarding the issue, they are utter SCUM
Can't remember if I've had anything from them but agree Ebay are sh**e at sorting out disputes, I've had two disputes, nothing ever came of either one. One was from a person selling under the name of The_Stable_Hand and I can tell you, the service I received from he/she, perhaps they should stick to being a stable hand. Paid nearly 30£ for flexi-reins and never received anything, not even an email back to say whether they'd been posted or not, Ebay did nothing and they're probably still trading on there. You probably are far better to approach trading standards on this one.
i used to sell tack on ebay,i left because so many people were selling goods as english leather and sending cheap alternatives,so i couldnt compete.i still sell and use the same suppliers,but i let my customers touch and feel the goods first,then pay!!for every neg feedback they get they will sell 60 fly fringes and get good feedback,it just doesnt work for the customer.the worst thing is they can send back faulty or wanted goods at no cost.BE VERY CAREFULL!
They don't accept paypal probably because it is easy to get the money back when the goods don't arrive. I paid through their own website and (fortunately)printed the receipt out but they are still claiming I have not paid.
