Just a bit of a heads up to anyone thinking of selling saddles ect on Ebay....
I have recently sold a set of clippers, as described & very cheap to a guy on Ebay. Posted first class as soon as he bought them so he recieved them the following day.
That afternoon I get a ranty message saying they aren't as described and are fake as they have no brand on them. This particular clipper (paddock 2000) has no brand.
So I sent him a reply to this effect along with a link to the manufactors website, so he could compare them.
Buyer Then opens a SNAD case, still claiming they are fake (they were bought by me directly from the manufactors website, have been used about three times and had been meticulously cleaned prior to sale) and requesting a 'partial refund' In other words he wants to keep the clippers AND get some cashback. As these were sold at a fraction of the price they are worth I refused, offering a full refund instead.
Whilst this is happening the funds from the clippers have been put on hold by Paypal....
Of course the buyer then went quiet, this was the 12th april, yesterday I Emailed Ebay requesting that they close the case and free my Paypal funds, as the buyer is clearly not interested in returing them.
Todays respose from Ebay;
"Thank you for contacting eBay Customer Support about the clippers (item ****) you sold to **** that was not as described. I understand that your buyer has not posted the item back as you requested.
We would like to inform you that eBay Customer Support has made a final decision about this case and we have asked the buyer to return the item. While waiting for the item to be returned to you, we have placed the case on hold for 10 days.
If the buyer failed to return the item within the 10 day period you no longer have to do anything.
We trust this information is helpful and wish you all the best on eBay in the future"
So now I have to wait a further 10 days to see if this individual is going to;
A Ignore
B Return Clippers
C Return broken/damaged clippers.
Whilst my money is still held to ransom by Ebay
Looking at the forums it appears that this Partial Refund thing is a trick a lot of buyers are doing these days. So just be aware.
