ARGH. I just won a lovely little 3.5t lorry on eBay for a very good price. I was thrilled to bits this morning!

Then blow me, this morning they say they don't want to go through with the sale, even though they accepted my buy it now offer! Apparently some other lorry they looked at wasn't good enough so they're keeping their own.

I think this is desperately unfair. I imagine there's nothing I can do :(

Apparently not. The most I could do is leave them bad feedback. Big wow! So disappointing as we really needed this lorry and only had £800 to spend. Fair enough the lorry needed work doing but we could have managed that. I just get the feeling that in retrospect they didn't want to sell for such a good amount after accepting the offer.

I agree it's frustrating but better now than later. I went to view a lorry made an offer it was rejected, drove away. Two mins later the dealer called back and accepted the offer. Left a deposit of £350 or 400, can't remember now. To pick it up a day or two later, rang to arrange pick up dealer had changed his mind, didn't refund me the money and swore at me! Never got it back despite winning through small claims court as nothing was in his name.
My point is if they don't want to sell it you now that's better than deciding to do it when you have handed over the deposit/ full amount.

You could report to ebay but the most they will get is a stern message and a non paying strike doesnt really make much difference to there selling ability.
Keep looing though i got a great lorry off ebay was a bit risky as i saw it last minute and didnt view beforehand but it was only 750 quid. I went there and the lady was lovely let me check it everywhere and said if i wasnt happy could walk away.
Had somebody check the floor for me and its all sound, i had to put new wing mirrors on it for 30 quid and i painted it with really good paint so another 100 quid. But i have used her nearly every weekend and a few times a week in the school holidays and shes been great. We dont go anywhere at speed and are a bit slow up hills but apart from that shes amazing.
Had her MOT done 2 months ago and went thorugh with only a few bits needing doing. Best 750 quid i ever spent!!
On the downside i had to wake up at 6am on a sunday morning to bid for her probaly why i was the one that won her as was the only one mad enough to do it!!!:D
