I bought a rubber pelham from a private seller on ebay about 3 weeks ago with some roundings to go on it. So, received the roundings from the other seller (and are superb!) but have no bit to put them on.
I have been waiting and waiting for my bit and have still not received it, I won it about 3 weeks ago and paid instantly for it.
I have sent a message to the seller and still have had no reply (sent a message a week ago).
I have not left feedback yet as I am still waiting for the bit/ a reply.

What should I do? I am really desperate for the bit, I won it altogether for around 10 quid including postage so not that expensive, but that's not the point!!
It seems a bit silly to take out claims and get paypal involved for such a small sum, but I don't know what else to do..

:(

I would start a dispute. They'll chase it up on your behalf or they will refund you. 3 weeks and no contact is inexcusable.

Definitely log a dispute. They shouldn't get away with it whatever the cost of the item.
What was the feedback like on the private seller?
If the feedback is really good and has a lot of feedback them there may be a very genuine reason which Ebay can look into on your behalf.

Good Luck. Hope you get it sorted :)

dispute - today!

i had this problem... eventually i was refunded by ebay - but the seller had sold the book to me - for 99p lol then resold it for 3.99 and refused to refund me or send me the book.... go figure,

i disputed and won - just remineded me i need to go and leave horrible feedback! :)

If you paid via Paypal then open a claim. It doesn't take long and regardless of the amount involved you haven't received goods you have paid for. That £10 can go towards another bit!!?
It will either give the seller a kick up the bum to post your item or refund. If they don't respond to Paypal then Paypal covers the refund and pays it in to your account.
I have made 2 claims and to be honest for small amounts like yours and both times Paypal refunded me.
Keep all the emails you've sent to the seller in case they ask for them.

Bad Ebayers spoil it for the rest of us and shouldn't get away with it.

I would start a claim sooner than later as i think there is a time limit.

I have just filed a dispute - I hope I can get some sense out of it!
It's a shame because I have been a big ebayer for about 6 years now and I buy an awful lot of stuff off ebay and I have never not received my item. This has really put me off :(
This person had a feed back score of 44 with 100% positive feedback so I was wary about the low score but they did have 100% so I went through with it and won the bit. I am fed up! I am tempted to go and get another one but what a waste of money and if in the end it does turn up there is no point in having two.

Good for you - if people dont open disputes, sellers get away with it and if everyone who bought from them said "oh its just a tenner" he would be quids in wouldnt he?

Hope you get it sorted hun - they were quite quick with me when I opened a dispute and I had my money back quite quickly

I agree with everyone else and think you have done the right thing by opening a dispute. Hope you get a satisfactory outcome.
