Ebay -you can find some tatty things!

My brother put a pair of smelly old trainers on there once, just for a laugh really to see anyone would buy them! And guess what?!!....People were having a bidding war over them!
Im more concerned about the people buying these things, how weird!!

TBH, if you were looking just for a pair of yard boots (as i am) and you would only ever wear ariats (as i do), and if you were a desperately skint student (as i am) you might, just MIGHT consider it.......

*curses boots for being 2 sizes too big*

indeed, i was lucky enough to be given some wonderfully expensive but very old cavello (sp?) long leather riding boots yesterday from a friend, a bit of spit and polish and they will be the most wonderful thing i wear at a show - im used to good ole rubber stylo so i am eternally grateful. altho tbh that ad on ebay / those boots on ad are probably pushing it a little but....ooh ah just a little bit. sorry couldnt resist!

Why on earth would you only wear ariats as yard boots? How bizarre and restricting.

coz i have weird feet!!!! i dont particularly like feet myself, so wont go into major detail, but i have badly collapsed arches, which has led to minor arthritis, and the only boots that have anywhere near the support i need are ariats!! i love them! have got 8 pairs - but please dont think im a boot/shoe freak, coz im not, honestly! iv tried other, cheaper types, but other than Aigle, iv never found anything to match.

I'm surprised that they haven't cleaned them up a bit before they put them on there - the don't actually look that bad (ie not scratched / cracked etc).

I wear Ariats for yard boots as well. When my riding ones get too tatty, I buy another pair and then wear the old ones around the yard in the summer (when it's too hot for wellies and not muddy). They are really supportive and comfy, and they are ok under jeans to go into town in!

Surely you would clean and polish them before putting them on ebay?

They look in good condition being 4 years old! The zips have broken on mine after ony 1 year! Useless.

I picked up a pair of dusty dirty Ariats for my daughter from the second hand shelf at our local tack shop for £20. When we cleaned them they still had the labels on soles and must have been worn once or twice! only wish they were a size bigger to fit me!

I like the way they are advertised as well used but well looked after......then they go on to say that they will need new heels & soles...... in other words they're worn out! Didn't even bother to put a bit of polish on them.......infact doubtful if they've ever seen much polish.
