What i was wondering was do you ever look on Ebay for horse stuff, i have lots of gear here from when we closed the yard start of the year when our X partner pulled out of the horse world, so left us 8 years of stuff to us which we clearly dont need it all and i am storing it all in my garden shed

I am thinking about sorting it all out and selling it in Ebay, i have brand new rugs still in the packages but i can only bothered to spend many hours sorting it and taking pics and putting it all on Ebay if people are likely to buy it, if not i will wait for an Equestrian boot sale. So thoughts please, are you an Ebayer??

I often have a horsey "clear out" - have sold many items on ebay but have also had many items unsold, it will always depend on your price I suppose. I tend to take a pic of everything & put it up in local tack shop as well & on local adtrader. I'd say if you have "brand new" items to sell - they will definitely sell on ebay.

Yip, definitely! You could make a fair whack ebaying it all!

I buy stiff on there if it's exactly what i'm looking for and I sell on there sometimes.

I am and have been for several years. There is nothing that will not sell on ebay as long as the price is right and the seller appears legit. If you don't have an account yet you might need to buy yourself some credibility by selling small cheap stuff to start and getting yourself a feedback rating, then people will trust you to send them the bigger stuff. Always put up a photograph of some sort though, the only things that tend to sit are those without pictures.

The phrase 'tack room clear out' appears to have been adopted by importers selling off job lots of nasty orange imported tack - so you might want to think of another way of explaining why you are getting rid of so much stuff

i buy off ebay all the time, i am a waiter!!!! the last minute then i bid. have had some great stuff. you will do well putting it on, postage may put some off on heavier items, but new stuff tends to sell well.

Yep - 3/4 of my tack room contents came off E-bay! Rugs, saddles, bridles, numnahs, girths, the letters for my manege - you name it! the_winter is right, though, about feedback - I'm very cautious about new sellers with anything above a tenner - particularly if they DON'T take Paypal.

Do you have any 6ft 3" turnout rugs. Let me know if you have, how much you want for it and the condition of it. I may well buy one from you as my horse has just ripped his to pieces tonight.

Thanks everyone, i brought everything into the conservertory today to be sorted out tomorrow. I have lots of rugs of various types so will let you know, think i have a weatherbetta heavy weight 6.3 with full neck and poss some middle weights, have some foal rugs too for indoors and out, not sure about a cob bridle but will look

I have good feedback as a buyer does that count?? Just looked at saddles and reckon our Albion SLK which is flaired could sell well fingers crossed!

Iget loads of stuff off ebay - that and Equestrian Clearance is where most of my horse gear comes from - have to limit myself and not look at Ebay too often or else I spend a fortune! Definitley set yourself up with a paypal account though _ I won't buy off people who don't accept paypal as faffing around posting cheques puts me off!

I'm always on Ebay and have bought some good bits and bobs off there. I also wait till the last minute if it's something I really, really want.

Like today, I've just bought a fab little shed for my Guinea Pigs - great bargain.

I often sell my unwanted horse stuff on there.
