somone successfully bid on one of my items and then sent me a message saying they no longer want the item as they received the same thing in the post that they had ordered but not received yet...but this was after she had bid on my item and so she couldn't cancel the bid- so she's saying she won't pay for it. can she do this or can i complain about her and give her crap feedback? i thought once you bid you were committing to make a payment???? :mad:
 
i just had the same problem on ebay, really I couldn't be bothered to do anything about it as ebay is mostly on the same side as the buyer, so i just launched a dispute to claim back final value seller fees, as long as the 'buyer' agrees you get your ebay fees back and can relist, or else, you could always do a second chance offer to the next highest bidder?
 
Had the same problem last week with some lovely MH boots. They paid eventually but then did everything they could to send it back and get a refund - refusing delivery, saying they could not find sorting office (!!), opened 2 cases against me - non delivery and item not as stated and weren't fit to wear (which was not true at all), abusive messages from the girls father, feed back threats etc, they even tried phoning me but thank god I changed my number! I had the item back because I was sick of the hassle. Easier to relist to be honest.

Oh and ebay is on the side of the buyer - there was no where I could report this problem bar phoning ebay which I didn't have time to do.

Sadly this is very true - as a seller you can't even leave negative feedback, only neutral or positive. Which I think is bs when you end up with a buyer who gives you the run around. I currently have one that asked a bunch of questions about one of my items, wanted to do buy it now, and still hasn't paid for it.
 
My father in law recently sold a car on ebay, buyer never got in touch after bidding so he eventually relisted it, resold it andthe people emailed to say they couldnt pick it up, again, relisted it and the wining bidder came to 'collect' it, asked if he would knock a 100 quid off as they didnt have the money!!!!! Needless to say he gave up and s still driving said car!!!

I do think ebay needs a bit of a rethink as there seems to be quite a few time wasters on there!
 
argh...well have sent her a fairly sharply worded email back and offered the second bidder a 2nd chance offer. what a silly cow :mad:
 
Don't ignore it. Report her to Ebay as a non-paying bidder. You will be doing other sellers a favour. She might pay, she might not, but I think I'm correct in saying that if you have to re-list you won't pay any fees.
