Is anyone off to EW on Tues or Weds? Im doing the PN on Tuesday, hoping that the ground is going to be ok! Does anyone have an idea of what it is normally like there? Will be walking the course tomorrow so can make a decision then. Will definitely dressage and SJ even if we can't xc.

Good luck to everyone else going!

I'm there with Moon in the PN and Sunny in the intro on Tuesday as well.
It will be hard as it's on chalk but theres normally a good covering of decent grass and they put stuff down on take offs/landings.

I will run both of mine but accept time penalties if needs be as theyre both quite precious!

Just looked up my times and am now very cross- poor Sunshine has got 4 1/2 hours between her dressage and sj and Moon's dressage is 1 1/2 hours after Sunshine's dr after I asked for her to go first as she wont wait on lorry on her own unless she's been out and done something

I've got 4 hours between DR and SJ as well which is a bit of a long wait, but oh well, I won't have to race round when I'm walking the course!

Unless in a very competitive postion after DR and SJ (which is doubtful as in very hot section) - I will be cantering round and expecting time penalties if it is hard going.

My baby, the horse I bred will be there on the Weds doing intro. Annoyingly I can't go and see him as I have to work. If any one is going on the Weds can they keep an eye out on Major Surprise for me please?

last year was the first year they ran and it looked pretty good to me. very godd sj arena, the dressage was flat and the xc seemed fair. i am there tuesday judging so be careful if you go on line to moan about yr dressage score it may have been me!! as for long waits they are inevitable when an event runs different levels on same day. we had a three hour gap at south of england yesterday for that reason. and anyone who has done the AI at gatcombe 1 usually has 5 hours to kill before they even showjump!

the livery going from the yard has the same problem, looking at the times Boss

Best of luck to everyone - I've got torn loyalty for one of the sections LOL - now how to support the most virtually (as cant be there)

Have I mentioned how wonderful you are recently?
And I will take this opportunity to say a very happy birthday for Tuesday.

Watch for the hairy pony with massive ears, she is *special* or for the blonde haired chesnut with no quality but a big, big heart

I know she wont see this.. but a HUGE GOOD LUCK to my friend Kirstin, who is doing her first BE event, and only her second ever event!!!
She is a racing girl through and through, and up till a couple of months ago she didn't even know what a dressage test was let alone how to ride round an arena or that it had letters round the edge!!
She said after her first event (unaff. ODE at Pontispool) "actually, this eventing lark is really fun!!"
