Ecobed - any good?

My cob is very greedy and will eat anything but she doesn't eat the cardboard bedding. I find it much more absorbent than straw or shavings. My muck heap is much smaller and it rots really quickly, our farmer takes my muck heap away and uses it on his veg patch. I guess bedding is just a personal preference, worth giving it a try and if you don't like it use something else :)
 
It's interesting to have a few warnings about what it can be like, but I suppose all bedding has its disadvantages and there is only one way to find out if we get on ok with it or not!

Anyhoo, I contacted our local feed merchant (welland valley feeds) this morning and they've quoted me £6.67 including vat per bale if we order 20 bales or more, and there is no delivery charge, which seems quite cheap to me! :)
