All you need to evaluate is whether you can afford to run the thing - nice of the government to make it elitist to own a 4x4.

Environment is utter tosh - if you want to make a real difference don't fly. Period.

I run a swb 2.8 td pajero and it costs me a bomb. I've run it for about 4 months and as soon as I can (in the next few weeks) it will be going on the drive and I'll be driving a shed to work instead and purely towing with it. However... it is the most fun vehicle to drive, I love it and grin from ear to ear in it
