Hi there, my name is Michelle and I am a student studying at Oxford Brookes Unversity. I'm currently studying a foundation degree in equine science as part of a business project; I had to create a product (type of lead rope) and find what was the common problems, pricing fairness, etc.
It would help me greatly if you could follow the link below to complete my survey. The survey is many multiple choice.

Thanks again

Done. There isn't a huge number of options of 'thinks you don't like about your lead rope'. I fine many are too stiff if closely twisted and too thin if they're soft enough. And the thin ones stretch.

I live in South West - also no option for that so had to put other. I like the idea of this product as deal with youngsters a lot of the time -would like it nearer 12 ft though.

I have a lead rope from the USA that is still as good as new 6 years on, and I used to get through the cotton, twisted rope ones very quickly. It it quite long and a reasonable thickness and it is the best one I have ever had.

Done. Feedback on survey. Thought it was a weird selection of areas chosen - two countries, a few regions and a City?

Couldn't really work out what you meant by your design so said no I wouldn't be interested also I don't have a foal nor am I likely to so this benefit would be of no interest to me.

I hate ropes that are too thick, have a knot at the end, are stiff or are like the ones mandwhy above likes :)

Anyway good luck with your project. :)

Hi, done it! Wouldn't buy it or test it as my * special * little treasure would get himself tangled up in the loop of the bowline. Are you selling them with bowline already in, or with an instruction book? "the bitter end goes round the back of the tree trunk (standing part), down the rabbit hole (bight), " etc. Ooh arrr, Jim, lad, draw up a bollard an' I'll spin ye a yarn"

I would be interested. However it looks as if the rope is nylon which I positively hate!
I like the longer 8 -10 feet ropes that are slightly thicker than the normal short ones. I often lead several horses at once so length is important.

That about sums up my thoughts.

done. i wouldnt mind trying one on my 16month old welsh d who thinks he can chew every rope and put all his weight onto it. see if it last longer then the standard ones you can buy. :)

Done... Was very distracted by the messy room though! Not professional.

Me too, kept getting distracted from the rope by the washing!!

I couldn't work out how the rope would work at all.

I like soft, but not too soft ropes, not too thin, not nylon, with the big traditional clips rather than the more common little clips with the slide spring..

My favourite leadrope is my 12ft line from a strong cord, with a big heavy duty swivel clip and leather 'clappers' at the end. Works well for rope halters and headcollars, it was about £20 but well worth the money, had it 5 years and it's still immaculate. Had to put 'other' on your survey as am in the South West!
