I have never had a horse react to flies before. Brought Drifter in after lunch and his face was covered in lumps where the flies had bitten him and yes he had fly repellant on!!
And his belly and thighs wer all lumpy to.

I'll get him a fly mask but will a rug protect his precious bits too??

i noticed how bad they are at the mo too tonight
such a pain to invest in a fly rug so late in the year!

think you can get ones that cover tummies but not sure about bits!!!

My horsey is very sensitive to flies and i use a rambo sweetitch hoody which has so far this year protected all his bits and pieces, I also use an equilebruim fly mask which is padded around the nose and has worked the best out of three others i have tried!! Good luck to you with your new boy ! :
