I am SO excited! (could you tell?!
wink.gif
) Lesson is on Tuesday next week, Metcheck is saying a lovely, dry sunny day- fingers crossed it stays that way.

Also, the clippers I bought on eBay arrived in the post today, so Hopalong will be getting ambushed this weekend and hopefully look nice and smart with her clip for next week. (she's already a very wooly yak and was pretty sweaty after 30mins flatwork last night!
frown.gif
) I will have to take extra care not to get wonky lines!
blush.gif

Happy, happy days! Is the other lucky winner on here?
smile.gif

Thank you, thank you, thank you Horse magazine!
grin.gif

Congrats!
grin.gif
I know how excited you are because The Fugly One and I are off on Monday for a Horse Masterclass too
cool.gif
(though not the Ian Stark one). Cool huh? Just trying to work out which breeches make my bum look least huge!
tongue.gif

Fantastic!!!

Am so jealous I had to withdraw from it as Tara is only getting her stitches out tomorrow.

If you need a groom let me know
wink.gif

saz5083- yay! Congrats to you, look forward to seeing you again on Tues.

Nic01- I'm so sorry!
frown.gif

Everyone else- thanks very much! I am so excited, no one else in my office is quite understanding it! Afraid I won't have my personal papparazzi with me as it's a weekday and he'll be at work.
frown.gif
Will just need to wait and see the shots in the magazine.
smile.gif

Oh gosh, I hope I don't ride like a complete numpty...!

Glad Tara is on the mend though. I am currently solo. so if you are free (and can use a camera?!
tongue.gif
) I'd love the company.

My worry precisely! Am frantically practising riding straight lines and sitting up straight!

Oh, well done! And perfect timing to get going with the new one.
smile.gif
Who's your class with? Have fun. (I'm currently trying to figure out the same, any one have any tips for magic-make-your-bum-look-smaller breeches?!)

Ah dont worry, I just called my yard owner and I was so excited and shakey she thought something was wrong! I have been told he's a lovely teacher, but do hope I dont make a complete tw*t of myself! Might need to give the fatty one a haircut too, was putting it off but this is as good a reason as any to do it early!

Dressage with Ruth Edge
smile.gif
. I told my husband that I didn't want to wear my beige breeches 'cos they make me look fat (they specify 'light coloured'
crazy.gif
). Husband kindly (but technically correctly) said that it's not breeches that make me look fat, it's food
blush.gif

I am "ok" with a camera LOL. If you can borrow one rather than me using my phone I'd get better pics for you
smile.gif

Will just send a leave request to my boss so keep fingers crossed... I was off all last week looking after Tara so is a bit cheeky but hey ho
wink.gif

When are you leaving (and where from) - could meet en route possibly
smile.gif

I'm sure you'll look very elegant no matter what you're wearing. (and Mr FigJam would say the same to me too!)

Saz- as per kerilli's post, I have also heard he's a brilliant teacher, so very excited. My immediate colleagues were most confused by the excited squeaking I made when the email came through! Have fun clipping!
wink.gif

Just avoid white jods! I'll never forget the time I posted on here and was told I looked big in them
blush.gif
wink.gif
grin.gif
(I am a size 10 I swear LOL)

Aw April, please don't "waste" holidays from work on my behalf!
blush.gif
I'd love you to come along, but not if it means you have to work on Christmas Day or some other similar nonsense! I've a wee compact that I can take along (Mr FigJam won't let his proper gear out of sight and I wouldn't know how to use it anyway!
blush.gif
wink.gif
)

I'll be leaving from close to the Forth Rd bridge, going along the bypass and down the A68. Send me a PM if you're still fancying it/have the day off and we can arrange summat?

AnShanDan- it's at Henderyde Park, never been before, is it a nice course?

GB/FJ - Breeches - go for ones with full seats in a diff shade, think darker is best, lengthens the leg and makes thighs smaller....

All sounds awesome, well done!

[/ QUOTE ]

Good tips but..........
My bum is (hopefully) going to be in the saddle so the full seat thing doesn't work
frown.gif
(most of mine are full seat anyway though)
and I need them to make my legs look shorter, not longer! They already dangle below the sides of my deep-chested 17hh horse in a dressage saddle
frown.gif
blush.gif

Will go for the darkest shade of 'light' that I can get away with though
wink.gif

I have flexi leave but just needed to check I wasn't needed in the office.

Don't worry is a complete pleasure - I hero worship Ian so will be a fab day out for me too.

deskbound- I have burgundy breeches with a navy contrast full seat, they would be the best bet but will ruin my carefully honed dark green/navy colour co-ordination!
tongue.gif
Ask Nic01/OldGit how important being colour co-ordinated is!
laugh.gif

Ah dilemmas....!

April- I can't believe someone on here told you you looked big, how roooode!
frown.gif
I don't own a pair of white breeches- it's not fair on others!
wink.gif

aaaahhhhh whoooooooooooooop! how exciting! I bet you are grinning like a cheshire cat
smile.gif
make sure mr figjam takes time out to get it all on film! I just applied for the pammy hutton dressage one so fingers crossed although if I win I think I will be a bit scared as Pammy is a lot more formidable than Ian!!!!

Can't wait for your report!
smile.gif

Congrats both of you im vvvvv jealous (im convinced Horse doesn't get any of my emails as i never get anything back - not even a rejection
frown.gif
)

Hendersyde is lovely all of there courses are upto height - you should expect to jump lots of drops

Ahhh...it's a XC lesson.
Hendersyde is lovely: there are loads of fences anyway plus a great water complex etc.
Thank goodness the weather's finally settled down or you'd have been paddling.
We're going up to gleneagles this weekend for a little burl round before burgie.
Have a great time.
