Tess and dolly had a visit from the farrier today :D Tess was so good and stood very still for the lovely Gemma and is going strong barefoot :) Then dolly had her feet rasped and was slightly confused by the funny feeling but Gemma was so patient once again :) her first farrier visit went excellent and having such a patient farrier who is understand is brilliant. First trim and it was brilliant :)

Those early experiences can make all the difference - well done for making them so enjoyable and stress free for her, you really are giving her the absolute best start in life.
 
Everything was done at her pace with polos and constant reassurance ! :D I'm so proud the farrier said it wa so nice to trim a young filly who is used to picking her feet up and isn't trying to kick ten shades Into her lol :) No photos I'm afraid I was on polo duty :p will get some tomorrow !

Brilliant! Agree with others, Tessybear you really are giving her the best possible start in life. Seems only yesterday we were waiting for her to be born! :)
 
Well I am baby sitting a 3 year old that I dont know and its been an absolute pleasure. The owners have been really calm in making everything nice for the youngster that its so obvious that the handling etc is all in place and that a nice laid back horse is in the making.

For me I dont feel threatened or on tenter hooks that I have some loon pestering me, early kind education just makes it all so much easier for the future. Good luck.
