A week or so there was a post on here about some Dartmoor ponies that were going to be shot and needing rescue homes so I filled in an application with the charity and waited.
This morning I received a very nice e-mail saying there were now in excess of 30 ponies in this situation and the farmer wants £40 for a filly and £30 for a colt
Anyway I have e-mailed back to say it puts a different slant on it for me as if he wants paying there is no incentive for this situation not to happen year after year. There are far too many unwanted ponies / horses without paying someone to carry on churning them out.
On the other hand I feel at least I could help out a couple and give them the chance of life.
I'm so torn, any thoughts.
