Just had to rescue a young horse who'd managed to get caught on the fence and ping his turnout rug over his head, around his neck and stuck under his armpit
Fortunately I was just there when it happened and he stood for me, even though he was terrified.
Can anyone explain to me why a native should wear a turnout rug (with no leg straps or fillet string) when it's 24 degrees?
They get hot, start itching on the fence and hey pesto.....disaster
