Good to hear there's other 'horsy' people accepted. I got my acceptance email a couple of weeks ago. Was amazed, as shortly before the interview I'd fallen, face first, onto the sharp edge of a tack trunk and had split nose, cheekbone and black eyes.... And they took photos...lol..
Oh they did say on the interview day, that if you had tickets, you would be able to have the time off!

I got accepted as a volunteer for Olympics also, although don't know what sport Its the National Olympic Committee that I got on to - whatever that means. I have dressage tickets too and thought you weren't allowed time off if you were volunteering, so hope I can still see dressage.

Nice one Ollie and Zerotolerance. I didn't much like having my pic taken either (and I hadn't smashed my face up! ) Hope you get something interesting Ollie, but it'll be fun anyway. It'll be great being part of the buzz.
Agreed it's nice there are horsey people included - they didn't ask me anything about horses in the interview though.
Even if we can't have time off, I'm sure we'll be able to swap shifts. I'm flipping well going to the dressage (or Mr X will be most upset)

Me too, but so did my partner - and he's already been accepted for equestrianism... just have to hold onto those hopes for a while longer I suppose! Am awaiting my email with guarded anticipation :/

The only problem I have with the system is that IF (and it is a big IF ) I am accepted to be a volunterr, it is getting a bit late to sort accomodation, whether it is B&B, camping site or whatever.
