I posted a while back about a seriously itchy pony, could not find any evidence of lice at the time, so tried change of diet amongst other things which didnt work.
was giving him a good groom with my Shedding blade earlier whilst waiting for the farrier and I think it must have disturbed the little critters as I was finding loads of them, brown ones (cant remember if they are sucking or biting ones?)
so, before he rubs himself completely bald what is the best treatment that acts the fastest?
I cant find my original post to go back over to see,

many thanks

Quickest would be to go to tackshop tomorrow & get Coopers Fly repellant plus.
2 applications usually does the trick.

You can get plenty of other things, but this is on the shelf & you can get it onto your Fuzzy straight away. Not cheap, usually just under £30, but really does the job :)

Good luck!

Thank you, will get some tomorrow, its a price worth paying to get rid of them :)

And as you wont (prob) use more than half the bottle, you'll have a pretty good fly repellent for the summer (I dilute whats left into a plant sprayer, with water).

Make sure you follow instructions, you need to decant the right amount into a pot (old ice cream tub is just right) and then use the sponge in the pack to really 'scrunge' it into the coat, but do wear the gloves supplied.

Hope you kill off the blighters!
