Has anyone tried / used this?

I bought some last week at £12 per bottle and did a test patch a few days ago with no problem.

So, when I put my horse out yesterday afternoon, I sprayed it all over him (managing to get some in my eyes - ouch). When I got him in yesterday evening he was fine, but today he has large patches of swelling all over his body, especially on his rump and belly.

Would the spray have caused this?

Do you think I am ok to ride him considering the swellings are not under his saddle?

god sounds bad ... poor boy. i'd not use the spray for a few day then try it again if it happens again you know its the spray. my local tack shop was saying how good this spray is only the other day. i'll ask her when i go tomorrow.xx

I bought some last year and had no trouble with it, one of the ponies it was used on has very sensitive skin and he was fine.

What a shame, it's very good stuff and the spray nozzle kept on working on it which is more than can be said for a lot of fly sprays.

A horse at my old yard a couple of years ago had a masssive reaction to it. Don't use it again it's not worth the risk. He had big raw patches all over his body and was on steroids. It was horrible. I'm sure the spray is great for some horses, but if you think it could be the spray don't risk it. Years ago my friend had a horse who was allergic to all fly sprays, but she just got lumps that didn't hurt or itch.
