Is anyone going on this? I remember a general flurry of interest a month ago or so but can't remember who said they might be going. My very kind husband has paid for it as a Christmas present. I have two horses accepted at the moment but from experience I suspect they may only be able to fit one in by the time of the course. I love their two day coursesbecause you really get a chance to meet people, except that I am usually too hungover to muck out/ride on the second day

Bee won't be there as we are skiing that week now.

She is having lessons once a fortnight with Nick atm and he always seems to pitch it just right, a good balance between pushing her just out of her comfort zone but not scaring her. Floss is going better and better.

Cool - I have a great jump trainer in Michael who I have every week, he works really well for me and Dext but thought it would be nice to have someone else and do the XC too as have only ever had one XC lesson/training session b4.

Just hope its not to cold!!

I wouldn't count on that H_J, it was bloomin freezing last year. However, after an evening drinking lots of red wine I don't remember being cold at all....

Brill, will look forward to seeing you there and putting some faces to names. Will make sure I bring plenty wine (+ hipflask if it's as cold as you say, besides might need it to take young horse cross-country!)

KatB it's at Little Downham, which is great as the course seems to stand up to any horrible weather and is still usable. It works out at £75 for the two days plus £20 for stabling overnight.

I wish I'd thought of that last year as Ross spent more time in the air than he did on the ground, much to everyone's amusement.

Near Cambridge. A huge trek for me, but the courses are always worth the travelling. I think it was £95 per horse for 2 days (dressage/SJ 1st day and XC 2nd day) but it was less just for one day. £75 for EHOA members and since owner/rider membership is approx £20 anyway it would be silly not to join. Stabling etc. extra.

You haven't got an Intro/PN retarded baby! They're very good at grouping those of a similar standard, and there's plenty of variety of fences, not just the BE courses.

Would it be suitable for someone about to BE?? Could poss be interested but would want somewhere very friendly and no scary instructors (yes I am a wimp

Nigel can have a very warped and sexist humour, but is very funny!

I shall never forgive him for the day he sent my daughter through a grid with the instruction that there were 3 strides between the end of the grid and the school fence and then to pop in a quick bounce to clear the 5ft hedge and ditch just after!

For a second she believed him and blanched.

I am also going - got the confirmation back over Christmas.
I went last year (with different trainers) and it was great. There is also a meal in the evening which means you can get to meet the other riders which is great fun.
