Hey,
I'm off to eland for their camp next week, wondering what people thought of it, the instruction there, what happened and how fit was your horse? I'm really excited but if people could share their experiences that would be great.

Also if there happens to be people going next weekend lurking on here, hi :P

Hi,

I don't know about the camp, but we went to an event there last month and it was a fab place. Lovely arena, wonderful XC too. Lovely buildings. I bet you will have a great time as the whole place looked well run and thought out.

Hi, I haven't been before but I am going this weekend and am going alone after my 3 friends pulled out! I am the one with the cheeky bay welshie called ozzy - hope to see you there!!!

Oo!! That's exciting - and glad I'm not the only one going on my own, I'm going to be the one on the big donkey hoss :P - fb "Cara Pett" That one is my horse :P haha! - I'm excited - what riding group abilities did you say you had?

Hi, I said I jumped around 90cm, how about you? Glad someone else is going solo! I also don't have a lorry so will either be sleeping in a tent or the trailer!!!

Hey I'm going on Saturday too!! This will be my third year running. It's fab, you'll love it and don't worry about being solo, everyone is so friendly you'll be fine 😀. I too said I jump about 90cms so we might be in the same group, although I will warn you I'm a complete wet lettuce when it comes to Xc!! I have a big chestnut mare called Mary. Looking forward to meeting you all on Saturday xx

Hurrah, I am also going on my own on Saturday...look for the massive lazy Irish Draught called Ted!

Glad someone else is going to be sleeping in their trailer, everyone seems to think i'm mad for trying it!

I was on waiting list but had email today to say someone had dropped out! So I'm coming this Sat too on my own! I'm on a crazy, ginger 14.2who loves jumping but is rubbish at dressage! Think I said 85cm for jumping although I have done most of the 90cm on x country course but I haven't done much jumping this year so don't want to go too big! I'm sleeping in my trailer too and taking lots of wine! Do we need to take shavings and hay? I'm so excited! Bit worried that I will be only pony squasher and everybody else will be on big, calm, good horses!

Can I ask how much it is? It wasn't on their website and I'd like to go to one but don't know how much it will cost.

Have fun everyone.

I am on a short legged 14.1 pony so no need to worry that everyone else will be on horses! No need to take hay or bedding, I already asked that!

Hey pony squasher can I be overhorsed-psychopath then please, I'm loving this whole wine thing, may need to bring some cider nom :P no we don't need to bring bedding or hay, I emailed the other day! X

Have fun guys, hope the thunderstorms stay away! I called into Eland Lodge shop today and saw all the temporary stabling up, Im excited for you :-)

Just to give you the heads up, there's no need to take show gear but there is a photographer there on the last day so some people like to get dressed up! 😜 xx

What are people taking with them? Am sure I will forget something essential!
Do you know if there are showers and places to charge our phones???

EXCITED!!!

There are showers down by yard and shop. I'm going to hate not being able to blow dry my hair though! I'm going to look in currys later for a car charger for my phone! I might keep mine switched off and just put it on for couple of hours in eve! I'm just washing numnahs so I have fresh one for each session. Luckily I'm 5 mins down road if i forget anything. Haha - glad that I'm not the only pony squasher!

Also what clothes are peeps bringing for the eve?? Not packing till I get home from work, oops, and Probs should clean my tack, and the donkey too, organisation = zero.
