Can anyone recommend horse friendly B&Bs/camping sites or self catering houses in Ashbourne Derbyshire?

We have (unexpectedly and amazingly) qualified for the National Hunter Trials in September and Eland Lodge is some 3 hours away from me in Hertfordshire, so I was thinking of making a holiday out of it!

a Stable isn't 100% necessary, but must have nice paddocks and preferably somewhere with nice hacking near by!

Any recommendations would be very welcome, as I don't know the area at all!

Thanks!

I can't, but thought I'd bump this up for you.

Ashbourne is a beautiful part of the world, and the surrounding countryside is stunning. We used to go every year when I was a kid and camp for a few days with other friends from the village.

I know someone who owns land near Carsington Water and has two neighbouring caravan sites. I can pass your email address on if you would pm it to me

Valerie at a b & b Manor House less than a mile away from EL. Arena walker stable bedding etc. £50 for both you and the horse. Breakfast included. Normally gets booked up quickly and full of other people competing ☺️very friendly and lovely hacking! PM if you want her number I've stayed there the last couple of years as always stay there for the champs.

Hi Sparkles, would you be able to PM me the number for this? sounds lovely!

Thank you,
Emma

Try Netherton Hall - livery that has cottages. Not far from Tissington trail so lots of nice local hacking.
