Dnt often post pictures but i love the xc pro pics taken of me and my horse! it was his first and my first novice after doing PN last year and Oasby BE100 this season. Did an ok dressage, including a buck and flying change, but managed a 35.5 which is my equal best (dnt think they were actually watching my test!!)
SJ warm up was horrid. People jumping stupid height fences. Watched a few people get 4 faults, thought it was ok though. Got the planks down, my fault. Normally hes very careful so completely my fault for getting a wrong stride.

XC didnt start too well! was doing the research by the phd student and forget to unclip my point two when jumping off. Took it off and hoped i didnt fall off else my mum would have killed me! Was abit worried about course as it seemed HUGE! also lots of things niether of us have done before. I shouldnt have worried, flew around for a clear with 1.6 time (3rd fastest of the day)

Ended up in 6th! got £62 and his first BE point! Not bad for my a 7 year old Shire X TB

What a fantastic looking horse and beautiful pics. Congrats at doing so well your first time out at Novice, that's really something to be proud of.

What stunning pics - love the first XC (I would blow up to portrait size and hang in pride of place! :D )

Echo everyone else - stunning photos, really fantastic!! Love your horse, he looks scopey, tidy and brave (a rare combination :D ) and your position is first class - the two of you look absolute class, you'd never think it was your first one! Many congratulations, too, on a superb result - your first point on your first run - doesn't come much better than that!! Good luck at Chatsworth :)

What a stunning horse! The XC does look meaty in those pics as well, but he is jumping fab!

Nice to read a report of someone's 1st Novice run - i have my 1st one this sunday!

WOW, fab piccies & result :D

I was looking at the novice fences whilst walking the PN & would of thrown the towel in at No. 5 but you made it look very easy, Well Done :D

Well done. Pics are great! I'm still waiting on mine, so i'm a bit jealous you've got yours already. If you think you were dodgy over the Dubarry boot, I hate to think what you would say about my horse over it. We missed big time! I'll post the pics when I get them. I'm at Chatsworth aswell doing the Intermediate Novice, so may see you there!

Thank you everyone for the lovely comments! he is a very good boy, had him on loan since he was born then my parents bought me him last year for my 21st birthday so he is my big (17.1hh) baby!!
He makes me look good, i was purely the passenger!
I do too like shire x TB's now, hes definately got the brain of his mum (shire) but the body and agility of his dad (TB)!
Thank you again!
Charlotte x
