Is it a nice one? am thinking of it as first run for my 2, either at Intro if i'm being a wimp, or at Pre-Nov. anything i need to know about it? many thanks!

i've just enetred Novice there!!! It's my local only 10 mins down road!
The Sj is on arena/surface, XC few hills... i think fairly straight forward course few bright fences if horses green, they are doing some work to it at the moment....
Also good shop on site! there are some photos on their website but they are a bit dated now.

Very educational well built course, can be leary for a spooky horse, a brick kiln with a smoking chimney, lots of white stone all weather.
If you are quick you can go and school first.

no, i've never been and schooled round a BE course before the event, not going to start now!

Lots of the competition fences would not be available for schooling anyway.
It's a nice place, the ground can be a bit variable but they try very hard and aerate etc where necessary.
SJ is well built as they hold BSJA there.
They dress the fences really nicely, flowers, flowerpot men etc

Somebody stole the flowerpot men last year. I think I know who it was...
A few of the jumps are open, but most are not yet prepared and some of the new ones not even built yet.

The course is nice, the novice had a 2 trakeheners in a combination which didnt jump well last time. Ground is good and fences well built and inviting. I HATE their SJ surface and its appalling warm up (v v small) so wont go but it is a good event.
