Eland Lodge British Eventing

Has anyone done Eland Lodge BE event? Just wondering what is was like? Nice sj/ xc etc, what the ground tends to be like, how its set up/ run etc?

Thinking of entering the one at the beginning of July.

My homebred 6yo did the u/a 80 there very recently with her 14yo rider. It was over the BE course. It was a very enjoyable day (double clear, just outside the placings)

The set up is good. The dressage is on grass, good level arenas, though some are near a walkway which is just behind a hedge, which could spook the inexperienced.

The SJ is on a good surface, as is the warm up, although the warm up has mirrors. No horses seemed to spook at the mirrors.

The XC is undulating. Apparently the going was hard at the previous event, so the organisers had put down lots of chippings? at the take offs. This spooked my youngster (though she didn't stop).

It's a lovely event, IMHO. HM the Queen paid a vist just after we were there!
