how did you all get on?! i got stuck on that bloody bank! seemed like i was there for ages and ages...poor V, he's very babyish when it comes to things like this and he didn't understand how to get down off it (he saw the ditch and though "sod that" i think!
am heading back next weekend for a spot of bank training

I didn't even get that far! See my post above. That bank is pretty scary and you wouldn't be the first to get stuck on it!

i eventually got him off the way i went up and then they let me carry on (aren't they nice :) ) so got him round...with a few stops here and there (grrr...bloody baby horses!)

Well at least you got around! I love Eland. They are always so helpful and nice. I also like the fact that even though it is a very professional place they are also so welcoming of families.

Next time I will get round....stoopid pony!

I came 6th, had an amazing run, met everything spot on, but I was 17 seconds too fast.

Mandymoo won her section, Ive just come on to see if she knows as she wasn't at the presentation. They didn't do the novice presentation until 5.45, but Mick was a star waiting in the trailer.

Well done mate:D Good old Mick all of us love your pony!

Diggerbez, I know what you mean about babies, had been hoping to take mine today, but had to go to the local show with my son, he is contesting the lead rein championship so he comes first. Well done for getting round, I love Eland as well, John and co are always so welcoming and nothing seems too much trouble. I used to get laughed at when the course was sthe other way around, had to chase youngest daughters nappy pony down the hill with MM's husband, I was waving my hand bag behind the little *** to keep her going and they still let daughter carry on, usually to go clear from that point!

thanks AB, Mick even wore a full set of boots today without any complaits.. He did try and do a runner on the approach to 3 of the jumps though.. naughty horsey..but I rode him and hey, he jumped.. lol.. D_K would have been proud of me!

We were there aswell. Had a baby in the novice doing her 1st ever event! Were very pleased with her going straight over the bank (although leaping 10ft in the air jumping off!) and straight through both waters. Had another in the intermediate, was flying but jumped out over t wrong pallisade after the hayrack. I had caught up with the rider infront and it jus took the horses concentration, so we went back & did it properly, but ended up 40 seconds over t time, still very happy tho!

Onwards to the ODE!!
